Should we accept AwesomePossum in *LAME* clan? Is she a good candidate?
[This post is public because I’d like to see comments from members of other clans too. Which rules do they follow?]
To rephrase my question: what do we ask to a player that asks to join our clan? Many players are asking to join, but most of them are unknown players. And most of actual *LAME* members didn’t ask to join the clan, they were invited to join the clan (and this is good I think).
In my opinion, to a player we should ask at least:
- that he played enough in Baller as a registered user (2-3 months or more)
- that he always played fair
- that he is not used to insult other players
- that he is a nice and fun opponent
In my opinion, we shouldn’t require:
- that he is a top level player
Maybe joining the clan he’ll learn something … maybe not. We haven’t a school as in some other clans. We are in *LAME* clan just for fun. Or not?
I do agree with the fact we are with enough players right now,
and that we, in the first place, play for fun. We also play as a counterweight against cheaters and new players on BB. I think we make a bit of the ambiance in BB, flavoring it with our challenging way of playing. We also make the atmosphere in BB friendly and fair, and skilled; instead of focusing on competition and being better than other clans.
On the other hand, I don’t agree with changing recruitment policy. If people still like to join, they mail us and we check them out. Peanuts.
Sooner or later people will quit *LAME* and we will need a crowd of people of who we know they like to join, so we can pick out a good fellow to replace a skilled friend, you see.

On topic: You have the right vision like Zapata and I. Our motivation is fun and good/ friendly players. We started with invite people like Biondo, Sape, Mope, Rems Leturand,… And I will keep that, and like the last weeks people ask me if they can join our clan, but they don’t send me a mail, or they are new, we can’t let them join our clan I think.
Lets wait a bit and see if they are playing a lot, and then we can let them join our clan if we like them.
But now we are with enough I think?

About recruitment: probably Jippi is right when he says:
But this means that in SG forum we have to declare that we aren’t recruiting any more, and probably we have to change also the page “Recruitment”.

About your question.
I agree your opinion. Our clan played just for fun, not for the good stat, or for the medals, I think. I remembered that, when you invited me to join the clan.
In my opinion, we should amend recruitment menu. We should write something like that:
Play hard, and fair, and we will invite you, if your style is similar the clan rules.

as mentioned, it is not possible 4 a BB team member to join a sg clan, cause we are independent of that claning things ! …….. but our sympahties are ……. for ….. 🙂
