What’s your game strategy when it comes to buy weapons? Are you a stingy investor –one who tries to spare money for future investments– or are you a spendthrift?

I came to this conclusion: whenever you get enough dollars to buy a better weapon, buy it immediately. This way you have more chances to survive and kill opponents. If you are lucky enough, you’ll catch the Big Wave. You will enter the virtuous circle of killing and buying, killing and buying… You’ll feel the pleasant sensation of being surfing atop of others.
Some exceptions to this strategy:
– you have low HP. So, better to wait before buying an expensive weapon
– you see, close to you, an abandoned Colt, or a Sawed-Off, or a Schofield, or …
– you want to spare money for a Gatling
– you are a dyna-player

I know the ideal map in Terra Nova for playing with Winchester: Lake! Full of money, and it will seem like a hunting the woods 🙂

or maybe much better, the server enabled the option:
“weapon winchester first” like on steamboat (the sawed-off).
maybe activated only on a good wide open special-map
“dry-gulch” or “fort” or so…
It’s not possible to have a modified server (respawn with Winchester) just for us. I also think that in Baller Fort and Dry Gulch have enough money. But I can’t really say which map has enough money points in Terra Nova.
Doesn’t matter when but indeed, you have to have a little money. So that’s a problem when you respawn. But it would be an honor to play with *LAME* and Winnies 😀
It’s not a problem, you look for money around or if you have luck you find a Winchester on your way. 🙂

Hehe, about 2 weeks ago I proposed a game only-Winchester-1866 in BallerBude, but almost nobody followed me when they realized that after a respawn they needed money to buy a Winchester. I continued with my Winnie until the end of the game, but getting a bad score, as you can imagine. 🙂
It would be fun, one of the next Thursdays, to play a Wichester1866-only clan deathmatch!
hm, for me is that easy, because i am to slow for changing
my weapons often today. so i use the first time the
Remington 12 together with the schofield. and if i have
more Money and a little bit time to change, then two
schofields, because i love the quick loading of the schofields.
with three little exceptions:
1. is the map like the train, i use (if i can) the sawed-
off, she is quicker loading as the gauge. but i am a real
fan from the gauge, i like her erotic shape and beautiful
thriller-noise… KNICK KNACK 😀
2. if i am confuse, because to many good players are here
and the map is branches, cluttered and small, then i
use the dynamite, – maybe without a low winning chance,
but with a lot of fun 🙂 . especially when the players
after a detonation fly to me… 😀
3. i test other weapons, alone with the bots
…a few months ago (maybe a year), i played on paladin-
server with other players. the rule, all players only with
the winchester 1866. that was very funny, a realy good
play-balance between all players and a crazy noise
atmosphere on the place… the reverb and so on, realy
funny like the movie-duell from the magnific seven.
(i remember, sometimes we has the high-jump-option
enabled on this server, very funny)

Indeed sape, I have the same vision like you, if my HP is low i buy nothing, the kind of maps make that I change of weapons. I prefer mostly the last time for Colts, in a duel have I most chance to win the battle. In open fields I prefer colt, in clause combat games I prefer also Colts, or a shotgun or the Winnie, In some maps I pick up a lot of money and then I buy a big weapon.

Biondo, it is a complex question.
If you HP is low, no buying. It would be a bad investment easily.
When a spawned, the I buy a Schofield, unless there is some money near to me.
If I have enough money, my decision depends on the texture of the map and the opponents:
If it is a map with big open field, I prefer the weapon with big firepower and long range. If the map is little, or there are lots of building, I prefer the shotguns.
If I play against top level player, I prefer sawed-off, or Remington 12, because I have no chance with pistols. if the player skills are balanced, I prefer Peacemaker.
P.s: Nice picture Biondo. Awesome would wearing bikini, it would be cool with two Colts and holster. 🙂
Yesterday i was thinking about it, if I have enough money, I buy 2 colts or 2 times 1 colt? Or I buy a Winnie,… If I play with Shofields and I earn enough money buy i immediately a colt or not,… If anyone have a good solution for my problem say it. 🙂
It is a dillemma, in belgium we say if you choose you lose.
