“SG TCP Optimizer” have an export-function to backup/restore (export/import) from your current config.

I am partly fixed that, my ping dropped now to 200, but i watch what i can do more.
Maybe there is in the background antivirus files checking or windows is making a update download.
Pingtest.net told that I have only 62 ping, so problem is in my computer. I try Zapata’s tip.

In this case or “Make sure you’re not performing a download or upload by other software” as Zapata says (if you weren’t downloading, check your PC for viruses), or it was a problem of your Internet provider.
Biondo, Yesterday, my ping ranged from 60 of about 1000, it was much larger than normal. While the ping temporarily fell out of 60 were still playing a very jerky way.
Zapata, I no longer work for the next week, then a 2 week holiday. End of March, probably my contract runs out.
I try Biondo’s help later.
To download all new maps at a time follow the link “Upgrade to SG 1.1b4.” (right column, here).
It will open BallerBude page “Upgrade to Smokin’Guns version 1.1b4”, scroll down and click “each .pk3” (ftp://ftp.loop8.net/smokinguns/smokinguns/).
Put downloaded maps in the folder where your q3config.cfg is (see: “Where can I find my configuration file?” http://lameclan.altervista.org/blog/faq/configuration-file/).
Make sure you’re not performing a download or upload by other software; that was of a great help for me.
Biondo, isn’t there a place to download all maps in once, and then copy them to a mapfolder? Could save Wiskey some time. Too bad you didn’t make it Wiskey! How’s the job going?
As Jesse knows, i have very high ping that made impossible to play SG. Also i have to download every map that I can play on TN. Anyone know, what help me? Should i remove all internet applications expect antivirus and browser? Do i complete re-installation for SG?
It’s impossible to know why you are having high ping, but I would not recommend to uninstall all Internet applications.
BTW, yesterday I had high ping too (in BalleBude), around 170.
It was great fun playing with you *LAME* people. There was a storm nearby, and I think it made my lag go up really bad… I really couldn’t use the pistols this time, as Sarah knows, it took me all 12 shots from both pistols to kill her at point blank range.. lol Great fun playing, see you soon!
